Development Consultant
Request for Proposals
Purpose
The Randolph School is requesting proposals for a Development Consultant (individual or organization) to lead the Board of Trustees and Director in developing a strategic development plan for donor cultivation.
Our Background
We are a small, independent, progressive school founded in 1963 driven by the timeless philosophy: that living and learning are interdependent conditions. We find our work to be most effective when conducted in the natural environment, so we maximize learning throughout our five-acre wooded campus. The school serves families across the Hudson Valley region with a mission-driven community-based tuition model. While our alumni and family network spans decades and reaches far beyond our home, contact and outreach have been sporadic and piecemeal. The Board of Trustees, the Director, and parent community agree that we need an outside professional with development expertise, and one that preferably comes with experience working with educational institutions.
Project Expectations
A well-crafted strategy to reach out to a large, but dispersed alumni and family network to re-engage them as donors and to connect with funding opportunities from foundations and organizationsAn effective donor communication and campaign marketing strategy
A creative fundraising plan that matches the school’s commitment to fun and learning
A clear implementation plan that establishes expectations for management and board to execute the fundraising plan
Consultant will be able to meet virtually with stakeholders as well as periodically in-person if located in the local region
