We invite you to join us!
Since 1963, we have been nurturing a sense of wonder in every child, every day. We are committed to the greatest possible self-fulfillment of every child. We are proud to be part of this 59-year history and look forward to getting to know those who share our values around the developmental needs of children ages 3-11, and the social justice implications of our work.
The Randolph School is accepting resumes for an Advancement Coordinator. Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for positions unless they believe they meet every one of its qualifications, as described in the job description. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may be one that comes from a less traditional education background. We encourage you to apply, even if you don't believe you meet every one of our qualifications described. The Randolph School does prioritize BIPOC candidates for permanent positions, in accordance with our mission and commitment to community. Research suggests that a school with a diverse faculty improves outcomes for all children and strengthens community-based pedagogy. All students benefit from working with teachers of color, in a diverse school community. In such a setting, they are exposed to multiple perspectives, develop a strong sense of civic engagement, and supports critical-thinking about problems and solutions-based creativity. Our interest is in exposing children to the range of what it means to be human, and the most valuable tool we can apply in this effort is the community of caring adults that surrounds them. It should reflect the world as we wish it to be, so that our children can have experiences today, at their developmental stage, that when expanded in schema, informs how they shape the world of the future when they arrive there.
